Pump fun’s official X account was stolen, and hackers issued false announcements

GuShiio.com learned that Pump fun’s official X account was stolen, the hacker issued a false announcement, and the token was fake. Pump fun has deleted the relevant tweet.

Chain detective ZachXBT said that the leak of PumpDotFun X account was directly linked to Jupiter DAO’s February 2025 and DogWifCoin’s November 2024 X account leaks. It is worth noting that these attacks may not be the fault of PumpDotFun or the Jupiter DAO team. It is suspected that the attacker used social engineering to deceive X’s employees using forged documents or emails, or took advantage of a certain panel vulnerability.
