Zilliqa X-Bridge was attacked and forged more than 500 zETH pieces. Officials suspended service and planned to restart it.

GuShiio.com learned that the public chain Zilliqa discovered a security vulnerability in X-Bridge on February 6. The attacker took advantage of the newly deployed token management contract vulnerability to forge 531 Zilliqa version of ETH (zETH) and 2.2133 Zilliqa version of BNB (zBNB), and linked some assets to Ethereum and BSC through X-Bridge. Zilliqa has suspended bridging services, notified Switceo to disable zETH trading on ZilSwap, and warned users to avoid trading affected assets. The official will abandon the original zETH and deploy new tokens, retaining only legal positions held before February 18, and the specific time is to be determined.
