U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren questions government officials ‘conflicts of interest in crypto

According to Axios, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren sent a critical letter to David Sacks, head of government encryption and AI affairs, on the day of the White House’s first digital assets summit, questioning possible conflicts of interest between him and relevant officials when formulating policies. Warren pointed out that the Trump administration’s push for the development of the crypto industry may push up the value of existing assets and required disclosure of the identities of officials involved in the decision on crypto strategic reserves and their investments. Sacks previously stated that it had cleared its personal crypto asset positions, but Bitwise’s index funds in which it participated included five strategic reserve assets (BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, ADA) previously announced by Trump.
