Muyuan Group denies being “investigated” and relevant disputes have entered judicial proceedings

Blue Whale News, February 19 (Reporter Zhang Jinglun)Recently, Muyuan Co., Ltd.(002714.SZ), the country’s largest pig breeding company, fell into a whirlpool of public opinion after being sued and reported by its 16-year veteran customer.

Previously, Chang Xianyun, a farmer in Neixiang, Nanyang, Henan Province, submitted a “Civil Complaint” to the People’s Court of Neixiang County, Henan Province, accusing Muyuan of selling breeding pigs (pregnant sows) carrying the virus to him, causing blue-ear disease infection on the pig farm and causing the death of more than 3000 pigs. He sought compensation of approximately 6.8 million yuan.

Chang Xianyun also reported to the China Securities Regulatory Commission, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, etc., claiming that Muyuan shares had problems such as falsifying annual quarantine certificates and illegally injecting homemade vaccines into breeding pigs. Recently, some media claimed that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the China Securities Regulatory Commission have launched an investigation process into Chang Xianyun, a farmer in Neixiang, Nanyang, Henan Province, who reported Muyuan shares in real name.

On the evening of February 19, Muyuan Company’s Weixin Official Accounts issued a relevant statement on the above matters. The statement emphasized that after verification by our company, as of the date of issuance of this statement, our company has not received investigation notices issued to our company by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, China Securities Regulatory Commission, Henan Province Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and Henan Securities Regulatory Bureau. The above-mentioned regulatory authorities have not dispatched investigation teams to our company, and the company’s production and operations are normal.

The case involving the purchase and sale dispute between Chang Xianyun and Nanyang City Wolong Muyuan Breeding Co., Ltd. involved in the report has now entered judicial procedures and is being tried by the People’s Court of Neixiang County, Henan Province in accordance with the law. The company will pay close attention to the progress of the case and respect judicial procedures and adjudication results.

Previously, Muyuan Co., Ltd. released its 2024 annual results forecast, predicting a net profit of 18 billion yuan to 19 billion yuan for the whole year, an increase of 531.88% to 555.87% over 2023, turning losses into profits year-on-year.
