In addition, southbound funds sold a net of HK$8.898 billion throughout the day, which was a “change of face overnight” compared with the previous day’s massive increase in positions. The trading style was biased towards the short-term, and the long-short game was fierce. Among them, the net outflow of Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect was approximately HK$1.697 billion, and the net outflow of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect was approximately HK$7.201 billion. The Hang Seng Index also ushered in an adjustment after three consecutive positive days, falling more than 200 points within the day.

Substantial net purchases: Geely Automobile (00175.HK) HK$480 million; China Mobile (00941.HK) HK$420 million.
Significant net sales: Tencent Holdings (00700.HK) 2.460 billion Hong Kong dollars; Meituan-W (03690.HK) 552 million Hong Kong dollars; SMIC International (00981.HK) 297 million Hong Kong dollars.
In addition, capital outflows from TraHK Fund (02800.HK) and Hang Seng China Enterprises (028.HK) today reached HK$5.019 billion and HK$3.184 billion respectively.
