Bose Quantum Self-developed Optical Quantum Computing Chip

Bose Quantum revealed that the funds from this round of financing will be mainly used in three aspects: the continuous research and development of coherent optical quantum computers and the formation of small-batch production capacity; quantum computing + ecological construction and practical applications in various industries; and Continuous investment in the research and development and layout of general optical quantum computer technology.
It is reported thatBose Quantum was established at the end of 2020. It is committed to the development of scalable and programmable optical quantum computing platforms and the implementation of practical quantum computing applications. Its business focuses on the practicality and industrialization of quantum computing, mainly to make dedicated optical quantum computing tracks. Quantum computers and related solutions have taken the lead in leaping from the quantum computing +scenario exploration stage to the practical real machine verification and application stage.
Dr. Wen Kai, founder and CEO of Bose Quantum, holds a bachelor’s degree in basic science and a master’s degree in physics at Tsinghua University, a doctorate in quantum computing from Stanford University, and studied from Professor Kishihisa Yamamoto of quantum computing at Stanford University in the United States. Dr. Wen Kai was the first Ph. D. to propose the CIM solution (Coherent Quantum Computing Technology Route). He was responsible for quantum computer projects in companies such as Google in the United States. After returning to China, he founded artificial intelligence, intelligent hardware, cryptography and other companies.
In terms of products,Bose Quantum has launched coherent optical quantum computers for computing 100 and 550 qubits, Wuyue optical quantum computing cloud platform, quantum computing development kit openware SDK, optical quantum measurement and control integrated machine measurement hub, and optical quantum constant temperature control equipment dedicated to optical quantum computing. A full range of products and services such as quantity dials are used in practical industry scenarios such as Al, finance, biopharmaceutical, transportation logistics, communications, energy and power.
In 2024, Bose Quantum sold China’s first commercial optical quantum computer and issued China’s first optical quantum computer tax invoice. At the same time, in March 2024, Bose Quantum and Shenzhen Huada Life Sciences Research Institute reached a strategic cooperation on quantum computing + life sciences.
It is reported thatThe 550 computing qubit cloud service has been widely recognized by users since it was launched. The number of research and use users has continued to increase. In terms of financing, in the more than four years since its establishment, Bose Quantum has completed six rounds of financing. The most recent round was October 2024. Bose Quantum announced that it had completed hundreds of millions of yuan in Series A financing, led by Qifu Capital, and Amoba Capital, Yuanhe Capital, and Intematech followed suit.
This round of investor, Beigong Investment, is a private equity fund management platform under Beijing State-owned Assets Corporation. It is mainly responsible for the management of the two parent funds, Beijing High-tech Industrial Development Fund and Beijing Guosheng Fund. The total scale of mother-child funds exceeds 40 billion yuan. Under the guidance of the Municipal Finance Bureau and the Municipal Economic and Information Technology Bureau, the high-tech entity fund was jointly initiated and established by the Beijing City Government Investment Guidance Fund (Limited Partnership) and Beijing Industrial Development Investment Management Co., Ltd., with a fund scale of 2 billion yuan. Through parent-child funds + direct investment, high-precision and cutting-edge tangible funds focus on ensuring the implementation of major national and Beijing City strategies, promoting the integration of the industrial chain, helping Beijing build an industrial cluster with distinctive characteristics and international competitiveness, and helping the capital achieve the three-dimensional improvement in quality, energy and volume of high-tech industries.
In addition, Bose Quantum investors also include Beijing China Mobile Digital New Economy Industry Fund, China Holdings Fund, Tongling Transportation Investment, Korea Science and Technology Innovation and other institutions.
Bose Quantum said that this financing is a new starting point for Bose Quantum to achieve leading development in the quantum computing industry. With the strong support of Beijing City, Bose Quantum will further improve the ecological construction of the practical quantum computing industry.
