Ethereum developers have set a test date for the pectra upgrade, the network’s first upgrade in 11 months, scheduled to be released in April 2024. The pectra upgrade will include multiple improvements, with a special focus on wallet and verifier functionality. Among them, eip-7702 will improve the user’s wallet experience and support users to use other tokens to pay fees through account abstraction technology;eip-7251 allows verifiers to increase the pledge amount from 32 eth to 2,048 eth to improve node operation efficiency and shorten the setup time of new nodes. The test will begin on February 26 at the holesky test network and on March 5 at the sepolia test network. After success, it is expected to go online on the main network in early April. (coindesk)
