OFAC sanctifies dark network market Nemesis managers and freezes their assets in the United States

GuShiio.com has learned that the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has announced sanctions against Behrouz Parsarad, the sole manager of the Iranian dark network market Nemesis. OFAC placed it on the sanctions list under an executive order, tracked its 49 virtual currency addresses, froze its assets in the United States, and prohibited the United States and related individuals or institutions from trading with it. Nemesis has been operating since 2021 and involves drug trafficking, sales of false identity documents and hacking services, with a transaction volume of nearly US$30 million. It was jointly seized by the United States, Germany and Lithuania in March 2024.
