Prior to this, in September 2020, Minsheng Trust stated that former president Tian Jishen no longer held the position of president of the company due to personal health reasons. Zhang Xifang, then chairman of Minsheng Trust, performed the duties of president on his behalf.
According to the official website, China Tourism International Trust and Investment Co., Ltd., the predecessor of China Minsheng Trust Co., Ltd., was established in October 1994. In December 2012, the former China Banking Regulatory Commission approved the company’s reorganization and equity change plan. The re-registration was completed on April 16, 2013, and the name was changed to China Minsheng Trust Co., Ltd. On April 28, 2013, the company officially resumed trading for business. The registered capital is RMB 7 billion, and the controlling shareholder is Wuhan Central Business District Co., Ltd.
