According to Bloomberg, artificial intelligence startup Anthropic is about to complete a new round of $3.5 billion in financing, with a valuation of $61.5 billion. The target amount of this round of financing exceeded the previous estimate of US$2 billion. The financing attracted investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, General Catalyst and Abu Dhabi investment firm MGX. Anthropic is one of the large language model developers. It launched the Claude big model and is currently one of OpenAI’s main competitors.
