MegaETH’s soul NFT community fundraising for Fluffles has quickly become the hottest topic on crypto Twitter since its launch, but the much-hyped Vitalik-backed L2 has attracted a lot of attention in recent months after receiving $20 million in venture capital and oversubscribed $10 million in financing on the Echo community fundraising platform.

While its community-focused financing approach is a positive boost to traditional venture capital support models, MegaETH’s main selling point is to provide millisecond block confirmation without compromising security, enabling what it calls “real-time” blockchain-an on-chain experience that feels like using a traditional web2 server.

Let’s take a look at the inside of MegaETH and how the early builders got things done so quickly.

Who is behind MegaETH?

MegaETH’s core development team, MegaLabs, must continue to break through boundaries in many aspects of blockchain research and development to achieve MegaETH’s goals. The project relies on dedicated node settings, optimized block production and other overall performance upgrades to build the next generation system. What does all this actually mean? Let’s take a closer look.

dedicated node

MegaETH uses four different node types and has different hardware requirements to achieve fast and efficient block production. First, a single sorter quickly organizes transactions and generates new blocks every 1-10 milliseconds, so confirmation is almost instant. The replica nodes only receive the results of these transactions, making it easier to work and allowing them to run on simpler hardware. The full node re-checks every transaction, providing people with strong security. At the same time, the prover node processes cryptographic attestation in the background, so the main network can continue to run quickly without having to bear the burden of work required to complete these tasks.

Optimize blocks

As mentioned above, the goal of MegaETH is a burst time in milliseconds. In addition, it adjusts the number of transactions that can be accommodated in each block based on the working speeds of different nodes in the network. It will also charge an extra fee for updating network status more frequently, which helps avoid slowdowns during peak usage periods-a problem that often plagues other EVM-based blockchains. By combining ultra-fast blocks, flexible gas management, and a two-step finality approach where Ethereum confirms everything in the background, MegaETH can theoretically remain reliable and efficient even under heavy demand.

Comprehensively improve performance

MegaETH not only speeds up some parts of EVM, it also completely reshaped all parts. The chain hands big data tasks to EigenDA, allowing individual sorters to focus on maintaining speed rather than dealing with storage constraints. It also uses methods such as parallel indexing to manage tens of thousands of transactions per second. While many blockchains run into trouble optimizing one part and ignoring others, causing delays in data synchronization or transaction confirmation, MegaETH’s goal is to keep the entire process in real time, an ambitious task that traders will soon be able to make their own judgments in the testnet.

improved

Finally, MegaETH organizes data in a novel way and processes transactions at such high speeds. It keeps critical information in memory rather than slower disk storage, making it possible to read or write data almost immediately. After each transaction, the sorter only sends changes (rather than a complete transaction history) to other nodes, so they don’t have to redo all the work themselves. MegaETH has also improved the way account balances and other network details are recorded, avoiding the slowdowns that often occur when blockchain updates its data structures too frequently. All in all, this allows MegaETH to achieve 100,000 transactions per second while still generating a block every few milliseconds.

Five projects based on MegaETH

The speed pursued by MegaETH not only makes our familiar encryption applications smoother and enhances their experience, but also aims to open up a new design space for applications that require instant, scalable on-chain interaction. Here are five upcoming projects on MegaETH that showcase the advantages of the chain.

Euphoria

Euphoria plans to reimagine derivatives trading as a fun, social and easy-to-understand transaction.

Instead of forcing people to learn complex financial instruments, Euphoria launches “click and click trading”, which allows users to predict price movements with a quick click and present everything through a game-style user interface designed specifically for mobile devices. The experience is designed to be inherently social and gamified, with features such as chat, points system and rewards that can turn transactions into a friendly competition. With MegaETH’s rapid terminality, Euphoria can provide real-time price updates, instant payments, and a fun, efficiency-driven atmosphere reminiscent of social media platforms such as TikTok.

We’re coming out of stealth-it’s time to get excited.

Trading has long been designed to feel serious, complex and stressful. But this is not the case.

Today, the situation has changed.

Launch Euphoria -making trading an experience.

Sweep

Sweep transforms live entertainment into an interactive experience where viewers can make real-time predictions of anchors and live events.

Whether it’s betting on who will “win the map” or how many kills anchors are likely to get, the platform supports real-time prediction, allowing users to place bets and resolve their bets within minutes, thereby increasing participation in live broadcasts. Due to the fast speed of the game, quick settlement is needed to achieve these predictions. This is where MegaETH’s millisecond block time comes into play, improving the current Web 2 track that currently supports Sweep.

The future of entertainment is not just about watching-it’s about living in the present.

That’s why we built Sweep, a way to make money by predicting your favorite streaming and live events in real time. You no longer just watch streaming passively, you become a part of it…

Noise

Noise hopes to capture and trade the value of attention by creating real-time markets for hot topics.

Noise does not deal with traditional supply and demand dynamics, but intends to use a continuous stream of data to show whether trends are becoming more or less popular. Although few people share these trends beyond their original posts, these trends may move beyond encrypted narratives and into real life, for example, which may leave you short on energy drinks. By focusing on what the world cares about most, Noise hopes to reinvent the way culture is discovered, shared and rewarded-transforming us from “paying attention” to “getting paid for it.”

Unexpected use cases of cryptocurrencies have been attracting attention.

The only currency that really matters is how we spend our time.

Introduce Noise: a platform for trading trends.
