According to work needs, in accordance with the “Regulations on Personnel Management of Public Institutions” and relevant policies and regulations on public recruitment of public institutions, China Daily publicly recruits 14 staff members from recent graduates of domestic universities in 2025. Relevant specific matters are hereby announced as follows.

1. Basic information of the recruiting unit

2. Basic qualifications for candidates

1. Have the nationality of the People’s Republic of China.

2. Support the Constitution, laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, support the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the socialist system, have good conduct, and abide by disciplines and laws.

3. Love the party’s journalism, abide by the professional ethics of journalists, love international communication, and have good professional ethics and team spirit.

4. Undergraduate students are no more than 26 years old (born after February 1, 1998), master’s students are no more than 30 years old (born after February 1, 1994), and doctoral students are no more than 35 years old (born after February 1, 1989).

5. Have the professionalism and skills required for the position.

6. Have the physical conditions and psychological qualities to normally perform their duties.

7. Have other conditions required for the position.

Persons who have been criminally punished for crimes, persons who have been expelled from the Communist Party of China, persons who have been expelled from public office, persons who have been listed as targets of joint punishment for breach of trust in accordance with the law, persons who have been found to have committed fraud and other serious violations of examination recruitment (employment) disciplines, as well as persons under other circumstances that are not allowed to be hired as staff members of public institutions as stipulated by laws and regulations, are not allowed to apply for employment.

3. Recruitment scope

The recruitment target is for 2025 college graduates across the country (including college graduates who have not established a work unit within the two-year career selection period, excluding all types of entrusted students and targeted students). Applicants must obtain academic degree certificates before the end of July 2025, and the professional conditions required for the position are the majors corresponding to the highest academic qualifications obtained by the applicants. Beijing students refer to candidates who already have permanent household registration in Beijing City, excluding collective household registration in Beijing universities.

4. Recruitment positions and qualifications

The recruitment involves 11 positions and plans to recruit 14 people. Graduates from within Beijing can apply for all announced positions, and graduates from outside Beijing can apply for positions from outside Beijing. Among them, the professional conditions of relevant positions refer to the professional catalog published by the Ministry of Education (the “Undergraduate Specialty Catalog of Ordinary Colleges and Universities” and the “Discipline and Specialty Catalog for Conferring Doctoral and Master’s Degrees and Cultivating Postgraduate Students”). V. Recruitment Process

(1) Application method and time

Registration is conducted online.

Apply for positions at the head office of China Daily (positions 1-7): You can log in to the recruitment portal of China Daily (http://chinadaily.zhiye.com), fill in your resume online and apply for positions.

Apply for positions in the New Media Center of China Daily (positions 8-9): You can log in to https://chinadailynewmedia.zhiye.com, fill in your resume online and apply for positions.

Apply for positions in the 21st Century Newspaper (positions 10-11): You can log in to https://zhaopin.i21st.cn, fill in your resume online and apply for positions.

Candidates can submit registration applications from now until February 25. Each person is limited to one position. Candidates who have relatives in the newspaper and their affiliated units must take the initiative to fill in their resumes.

Candidates must sign an Integrity Commitment (Attachment 2) when registering to ensure that the application materials and information submitted are true, accurate and complete. Those who forge, alter certificates, certificates, or use other improper means to obtain application qualifications, cheat during the examination and inspection process, or commit other violations of open recruitment disciplines will be dealt with in accordance with the “Regulations on Handling Violations of Discipline and Regulations in Public Recruitment in Public Institutions”.

(2) Qualification review

The qualification review is the responsibility of the Personnel Department of China Daily and its affiliated units. According to the registration qualification conditions and recruitment position requirements stipulated in this announcement, the registration application will be reviewed in an objective, fair and timely manner, and all candidates will be treated equally. The ratio of the number of people who have passed the qualification review for the same position to the number of planned recruitments for the position is at least 3:1 before the exam can be opened. If this ratio cannot be reached, the number of recruitments for the position should be reduced before the written examination is opened until the recruitment plan for the position is cancelled. If the job recruitment plan is cancelled, the candidate for the position may be transferred to other positions that meet the registration requirements. Any reduction in the number of job recruiters or cancellation of job recruitment plans will be announced on the China Daily website and the China Daily Recruitment Weixin Official Accounts before the written examination.

(3) Written examination

The written test content mainly includes administrative professional ability test and professional ability test. The specific time, place and related matters will be notified to the applicant by text message or email. Candidates will be notified of the written test results by text message or email within 15 working days after the written test. No tutoring books are specified for this exam, and no tutoring training classes are held or entrusted to any institution.

(4) Interview

According to the order of candidates ‘written test scores from high to low (the pass line of 60 points), the candidates for interviews are determined according to a ratio of 5:1 (those with written test scores tied together will enter the interview together). Among them, if the ratio of the actual number of interviewees to the number of planned recruitments for the position is less than 3:1, the interview score of the candidate must reach the average score of all people in the interview examiner group who use the same interview question before entering the next stage. The interview time, place and related matters will be notified via text message or email. If a candidate abandons his or her interview qualifications, he or she will be submitted in the order of written test scores from highest to lowest.

Before the interview, the qualifications of the candidates will be reviewed, and the registration application will be checked against the candidates themselves and their original ID cards (ID cards, student ID cards, etc.), the registration recommendation form stamped by the school or unit and other materials. If the main information of relevant materials is false and affects the results of the qualification review, our agency has the right to cancel the interview qualification.

The total score consists of 50% written test and interview scores each.

(5) Physical examination and inspection

According to the order of the candidates ‘total score from high to low, the candidates for physical examination and inspection will be determined in equal numbers.

1. Physical examination. Organize and implement physical examinations in accordance with the physical examination standards and operation manuals for civil servants recruitment.

2. Inspection. In accordance with the standards of good cadres in the new era, pre-employment inspections are carried out according to the qualifications and requirements of recruitment positions. The inspection team should go deep into the school or unit where the inspection target is located, adopt methods such as individual interviews, review personnel files, query social credit records, and interviews with inspection candidates, and can also conduct extended inspections as needed.

Those who fail the physical examination or inspection may, after study, be replaced according to the order of the total test score from high to low, or no longer be replaced.

(6) Publicity

The candidates to be hired are determined based on the total examination scores, physical examination results and inspection results, etc., and will be publicized on the public recruitment service platform of the central government and state agencies and institutions of the Ministry of Human Resources and social protection and the website of China Daily. The publicity period is 7 working days.

(7) Employment

After the expiration of the publicity period, if there are no problems or the reported problems do not affect the employment, the employment procedures will be handled in accordance with regulations after being reported to the relevant department for filing, review and approval; if the problems affecting the employment are reported and verified, no employment will be allowed; if the problems reflected are difficult to verify for a while, the employment may be postponed, and a decision on whether to hire will be made after investigation. Newly hired personnel shall implement a probation period system in accordance with regulations. The probation period shall be included within the contract period. Those who pass the probation period shall be formally hired; those who fail to pass the probation period shall be cancelled.

6. Relevant treatment

The candidates for positions 1-7 in the “Information Form for Public Recruitment of Recent Graduates from Domestic Universities in 2025 by China Daily and Affiliated Institutions” have signed the “Employment Contract” of the public institution with China Daily and enjoy corresponding salary and welfare benefits; the candidates for positions 8-11 have signed the “Employment Contract” of the public institution with their affiliated institutions and enjoy corresponding salary and welfare benefits.

VII. Other matters

1. No other forms of registration are accepted for this open recruitment. Relevant recruitment information is released on China Daily and China Daily Recruitment Weixin Official Accounts.
