Asset management company Bitwise announced a partnership with online credit project Maple Finance to enter the decentralized finance (DeFi) space for the first time. Bitwise’s investment (for an undisclosed amount) utilized Maple’s Bitcoin mortgage product. Maple Finance CEO Sid Powell said the move marks an important milestone in the adoption of online credit by institutional allocators. Maple’s Bitcoin mortgage product is currently open to qualified investors in the United States. (CoinDesk)
