Previously, Musk once called Grok 3 “the smartest artificial intelligence on earth.”

On the AIME 24 mathematical proficiency test, Grok-3 scored 52 points, which was significantly higher than DeepSeek-V3 ‘s 39 points. In the GPQA Scientific Knowledge Assessment, Grok-3 leads DeepSeek-V3 with an excellent score of 75 points. In addition, in the LCB Oct-Feb programming ability test, Grok-3 also surpassed DeepSeek-V3 ‘s 36 points with a score of 57.

According to xAI officials, Grok3 called 100,000 Nvidia H100 chips during the training process, which is several times higher than the 15,000 GPUs used by the previous generation Grok2.

The biggest highlight of Grok 3 is its introduction of the “Chain Of Thought” reasoning mechanism. This mechanism allows Grok 3 to solve complex problems in steps like humans do, significantly improving the model’s ability to process complex queries and provide more coherent and logical responses. Musk said at the press conference that this reasoning mechanism allows Grok3 to perform far better in logical reasoning tests than ChatGPT-5 and Google’s Gemini Ultra, allowing it to come up with novel ideas and solutions.

The Grok model has been connected to Musk’s social media X platform, and users can use the Grok chat robot on X.
