However, DeepSeek does not currently have multimodal capabilities for cultural graphics or videos. It remains to be seen how it can help the real-life dreams generated by the main video. As of now, Jimeng has not officially connected to DeepSeek.
Another Byte-to-C application connected to DeepSeek is the Wukong browser under Douyin.
The predecessor of Wukong Browser was Wukong Question and Answer. According to market research firm QuestMobile, its MAUs (monthly active users) will be approximately 20 million in 2023. In November last year, Douyin upgraded the Wukong browser and enhanced AI-related functions by connecting to the large model of bean buns.
Currently, Wukong browser has been connected to the DeepSeek R1 inference model. However, judging from the scale of users, Jiimeng and Wukong browsers are not the main force of Byte. Douyin, which has more than 700 million DAUs, is the mainstay of the entire byte; bean buns with tens of millions of DAUs are the main attacker in the field of byte AI big models. Neither of these two giant C-oriented apps has yet to extend an olive branch to DeepSeek.
In the two months that DeepSeek swept the world, other major manufacturers have tried their best to take advantage of DeepSeek and compete for AI model users. Byte has only tested the water in a few to B sectors and smaller businesses, Douyin and Doudou. Still immovable.
As a major manufacturer, Tencent is doing its best to harvest the huge traffic that DeepSeek cannot handle.
Yuanbao is an AI model application owned by Tencent, with functions similar to Byte Bean Bag, Baidu Wenxiaoyan, etc. For a long time after it was launched, it was tepid among similar apps. According to QuestMobile data, during the week from February 3 to 9, Yuanbao’s DAU was only a few hundred thousand, which is equivalent to a fraction of DeepSeek and Doubao.

In addition, other Tencent products have also taken advantage of DeepSeek in various forms. WeChat search is connected to DeepSeek, Jiugongge has opened a Yuanbao download portal, and Tencent Documents, QQ Music, QQ Browser, etc. have also followed suit.

In contrast, Douyin only recently connected DeepSeek in some C-side scenarios. However, with the improvement of DeepSeek’s own service capabilities, users no longer encounter frequent denials of service, and their willingness to choose a replacement with a large factory declines;The pie of DeepSeek’s overflow traffic has been cut up, and the window of opportunity for bytes to benefit from it is rapidly narrowing.

Faced with the DeepSeek shock wave, different business segments within Byte have different attitudes.
