Moving towards a large scale, how to make farmers profitable, how can the company work together with farmers; how to formulate milk standards, improve the cold chain logistics system, and enhance consumer confidence.

This year, the Central Committee’s No. 1 Document once again focused on agriculture and proposed new agricultural productivity for the first time. In this regard, Liu Yonghao mentioned that at the private economy symposium held not long ago, five of the six representatives who spoke came from the technology industry and large-scale manufacturing industry, and they were representatives of traditional industries. Traditional industries are still the mainstay of the national economy, but they must transform and follow the path of developing new productive forces.

Liu Yonghao said that new productivity in agriculture is very important. He believes that traditional industries are fundamental and meat, eggs, milk, etc. will not die out. The key lies in what method to produce these products: first, expand the scale; second, introduce scientific and technological means; third, optimize varieties; and finally, significantly improve production efficiency. In addition, innovative production and marketing methods are equally important.

Regarding suggestions to promote the development of the private economy, he mentioned that the scope of consumption subsidies can also be further expanded, especially for agricultural products and household necessities produced by small enterprises, small and micro enterprises and agricultural enterprises, such goods with rigid demand and repeated consumption. He said that in addition to providing subsidies in the fields of home appliances and automobiles, the state should also issue consumption vouchers according to different regions and needs to form a more comprehensive and three-dimensional support system that not only promotes consumption but also improves life, achieving the effect of achieving multiple goals at one stroke.

When asked how he viewed the challenges posed by the downward trend in pig prices to the industry, Liu Yonghao said that in his exchanges with farmers in the past two years, several prominent problems had been discovered. First, the provenance of pigs may become a stuck problem. Second, the growth rate of local breeds is slow, and how to cultivate them into efficient and high-quality breeds. Third, the pig cycle fluctuates, usually once every three to five years. When high prices are used, consumers are dissatisfied and farmers are damaged when low prices are used.
