Dubai, United Arab Emirates, February 23, 2025-Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency trading platform by transaction volume, announced the launch of a new API to update the blacklist of identified suspicious wallet addresses. The API will help various project parties and security experts more efficiently track and recover stolen funds under tight deadlines.

The list of suspicious addresses was compiled by the industry’s top white-hat hackers and investigators working day and night within three days of the hacking. Bybit has so far received thousands of clues from industry colleagues, demonstrating an unprecedented spirit of cooperation in the face of crises.

With the joint efforts of internal and external security teams, an elite investigation team identified a number of malicious wallet addresses. This collaborative initiative will significantly improve security response efficiency and strengthen the security of the entire encrypted network.

Bybit will continue to update the blacklist to ensure that cybersecurity experts and partners can effectively intercept illegal activities. Bybit will provide a 10% reward for contributors who successfully intercept and recover funds to further demonstrate its commitment to protecting the security of the entire industry.

Looking to the future, Bybit is developing the HackBounty platform and will make an announcement at an appropriate time. This platform aims to empower the entire industry to jointly track the actions of hackers. Bybit encourages all security experts to keep an eye on the latest developments in this innovative initiative.

“I am deeply inspired by the extraordinary spirit of cooperation demonstrated both online and in the real world. As long as we work together, this will be a turning point in the industry. We can work together to build a stronger cybersecurity defense system.”– Ben Zhou, co-founder and CEO of Bybit

Bybit will also continuously update its blacklist to help partners intercept illegal financial flows.
